Lady Cuddles: A Giant Pink Teddy Bear Star is Born on ABC’s Modern Family

Thursday, May 23, 2013

Cameras were flashing as Lady Cuddles arrived back at the Giant Teddy headquarters after filming on the set of ABC’s award-winning hit comedy, “Modern Family.” The giant pink teddy bear was seen arriving in her limo, signing several autographs for fans, as she made her way back to her teddy bear office.

In an exclusive interview with the Teddy Times, Lady Cuddles had nothing but smiles as she talked about her television debut on the May 8th episode entitled, My Hero. She gave high praise to her brilliant co-stars, Cam (played by Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson) noting that they made her feel welcome and helped her make each scene great.  She said that the entire cast and crew of “Modern Family” were awesome, and that any bear would be lucky to work with such a talented group of people.

Lady Cuddles did all of her own stunts for the episode, saying she felt it was important to stay true to her craft, and downplayed the danger of a fluff injury she suffered during one of the scripted falls at the roller rink. “The show must go on, and after a brief rest, I was fine and able to continue filming,” said the cuddly bear star.

She denied rumors about a brief romance with a Hollywood bad boy bear, and said she likes to keep things strictly professional when working. She also laughed at suggestions she might be the new heroine in a high profile action adventure, saying she wasn’t sure spy films were her thing, but winking when she mentioned she does like the number 007.

Asked about her future plans, Lady Cuddles indicated her first love will remain being an adorable giant pink teddy bear, just right for hugging, but that after a taste of the spotlight, she might consider future appearances on TV, or even in movies. She also said she would absolutely lend her celebrity bear status to a worthy cause that might need a giant pink teddy spokes bear.  We won’t be a bit surprised if the talented and beautiful pink Lady Cuddles makes more news in the world of giant teddy bear stars!

Announcing your Graduation

Monday, May 13, 2013

Congratulations grads! Your big day is nearing and though you're probably drowning in work, there's no doubt that you're excited to close that book. Your friends and family will be excited for you, too – you just have to make sure to get the word out.

Most graduates send out announcements to let their loved ones know that their achievement is nearing, and friends and family are always grateful for the reminder. Sometimes grads send these as an invitation to the ceremony, or sometimes they send it after the ceremony along with photographs as a keepsake. This, of course, depends on how many guests you're allowed to have and whom you would like to attend.

You can personalize these announcements or make them in bulk, depending upon how personal you like to be.

Then comes the party planning. This is the tricky part for a lot of graduates, because the majority of their friends are often graduating as well. That's why so many graduates choose a date that's a few weeks into the future, because the first few weeks following graduation are usually booked solid with events. Whether you choose to have it in your own backyard or make it into a night out on the town, you've got to make sure you leave enough time to plan the party, send out invitations, get food if necessary, and decorate.

It's your call if you'd like to send separate graduation party invitations and announcements, or make them into one. If you're sending out invitations to other recent graduates, you could personalize their invitations by sending them a photo of the two of you from the big day or even a graduation bear as a way to congratulate them while still sending out your invite.

The most important part of the big day, though, is to just have fun! It's your last hurrah, so you shouldn't be stressing yourself out if everything doesn't go perfectly as planned.

The Three Most Important Things on Mothers' Day

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

Whether it's your mom, wife, sister, or best friend, everyone knows an amazing mother that deserves recognition 365 days out of the year. Mothers' Day is the one day that we actually pay respect specifically to all the hard work it takes to be a mom. Folks may be grateful for their moms all year round, but let's be honest moms deserve to be especially appreciated on this day in a special way.

You don't have to spend lots of money. That's the thing about moms – they appreciate the thought behind gifts and gestures, not the monetary value. If you want to make a true impact, make sure you do at least one of these three things this upcoming holiday.

A Token of Appreciation
Moms love to come home to little things that show you were thinking of them. Pick flowers for her, make her favorite dessert, or have a little Mothers' Day bear waiting for her. It shows that you were being thoughtful and will make her smile.

A Personal Acknowledgement
We know that store bought cards are common and lack that personalized touch . Save money on a card. Better yet, write a note expressing gratitude to a special mom.  Use specific examples of how great she is at her role. Instead of saying "you're so loving," tell her that her kids will someday be so grateful when they realize how hard she looked for those concert tickets they wanted. She'll keep the note forever.  Then she will realize that the little things she does, really are noticed and appreciated.

Help Out!
Nothing is more valuable to a mother than something that gives her the chance to relax. Clean the house, mow the lawn, send her off to a spa, or offer to take the kids so she can go on a date with her husband. Do something that gives her the chance to have a day to herself, doing what she likes… you have no idea how much this means to a mother!
